A decaffeinated drip bag blend from the Huila region of Colombia – chocolate, caramel, and citrus peel notes with a smooth, comforting finish that proves great coffee doesn't need caffeine to shine.
Unwind is naturally decaffeinated in Colombia using mountain spring water and naturally derived ethyl acetate produced from fermented sugarcane. The process begins by gently steaming the green coffee, opening the bean's cellular structure and preparing it for caffeine extraction. The coffee is then washed with ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring compound found in many fruits and plants. This selectively bonds with the caffeine molecules, allowing them to be removed while preserving much of the coffee's original sweetness, body, and flavour.
