Discover ONA Coffee's drip coffee bags
Drip coffee bags (also called coffee filter bags or pour-over coffee bags) are single-serve sachets filled with ground coffee, sealed in a filter pouch that hangs neatly over your mug. Unlike traditional coffee bags that steep like tea, drip coffee bags mimic the pour-over method, letting hot water flow through the coffee grounds and filter directly into your cup. The result is a clean, aromatic brew with balance, clarity and complexity.
ONA's drip coffee bags are ideal for busy mornings, travel days, the office or anyone who wants great coffee on the go, because they offer the following benefits:
-
No equipment needed — Just hot water and a mug.
-
Freshness sealed in — Each drip coffee bag is nitrogen-flushed and individually packed to preserve aroma and flavour.
-
Specialty-grade coffee — Our coffee drip bags feature filter-roasted coffees selected for their brightness, complexity and clean finish.

How to brew a drip coffee bag
Brewing your perfect cup is simple:
- Tear open the top of the drip coffee bag.
- Anchor the side arms of the bag onto your cup.
- Pour hot water (around 92°C) slowly over the coffee in stages, letting it drip through.
- Enjoy a fresh cup of pour-over coffee in just two to three minutes.
For best results, we recommend using 150–200ml of water per bag. The process gives you control over extraction, similar to a traditional filter brew.

FAQs
What are drip coffee bags?
Drip coffee bags are single-serve pouches of ground coffee that you place over a cup. You pour hot water through the bag, mimicking a pour-over brew without needing any gear.
How do you use drip coffee bags?
Tear the top open, hook the wings over your cup, and slowly pour in hot water. Let it drip through and enjoy your fresh brew in minutes.
What's the difference between drip coffee and brewed coffee?
Drip coffee bags produce a pour-over-style cup with more clarity and complexity than immersion-brewed or instant coffee. It's closer to what you'd get from a V60 or filter brewer.
Are the brew bags recyclable or compostable?
ONA's drip coffee bags use food-safe filter material and individual wrapping for freshness. To recycle and compost them:
- Separate the outer packaging from the used coffee grounds.
- Place the coffee grounds in your green bin or home compost.
- The filter bag and sachet should be disposed of in general waste unless your local council accepts soft plastics or compostable materials under specific conditions.
Where is the coffee roasted?
All ONA Coffee drip bags are roasted in Australia by our award-winning team, using carefully selected beans sourced from trusted producers worldwide.
Can you make cold brew with drip coffee bags?
While you could steep them cold, drip bags are designed for hot brewing. They're not optimised for traditional cold brew extraction, so for best results, stick with hot water and pour-over style brewing.
