Unwind, your way: Introducing Decaf Instant and Drip Bags

Great decaf coffee shouldn’t depend on having the right equipment, enough time, or access to a café. With two new formats of our popular decaf blend, Unwind, it doesn’t have to.

Since launching Unwind, one thing has become clear: people want better decaf. Not simply coffee without caffeine, but coffee that still delivers comfort, flavour, and ritual – whether it’s first thing in the morning, late in the afternoon, or after dinner.

That’s what Unwind has always been about. A decaf designed with the same care and intention as any other ONA coffee.

Now, we’re expanding the range with two new ways to enjoy it: Instant and Drip Bags. Same coffee. Same quality. Different moments.

Unwind Instant: Specialty Coffee, Made Simple

Instant coffee has long carried the same reputation decaf once did – convenient, but forgettable. Our instant range was created to challenge that idea.

Unwind Instant starts as fully brewed specialty coffee before being vacuum freeze-dried to preserve sweetness, aroma, and character. Each sachet is designed to brew as a short, concentrated cup: rich chocolate and caramel sweetness, lifted by bright citrus peel.

Add water or milk, hot or cold, and within seconds you have something that feels remarkably close to a café coffee experience – no machine required.

It’s made for mornings before work, long travel days, late-night cravings, desk drawers, hotel rooms, and everything in between. Great coffee, without the barriers.

Unwind Drip Bags: Filter Coffee Anywhere

For those who love the clarity and balance of filter coffee, Unwind Drip Bags offer a different expression of the blend.

Each bag contains pre-ground coffee in a single-serve filter that sits directly over your cup. Simply pour hot water slowly through the coffee, and the result is a clean, sweet, balanced brew with the same familiar notes of chocolate, caramel, and citrus peel.

No grinder. No scales. No brewer.

Just a simple way to enjoy specialty filter coffee wherever you happen to be – at home, at work, travelling, or outdoors.

How Unwind is Created

The coffee behind every format of Unwind is naturally decaffeinated in Colombia using mountain spring water and ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane.

The process begins by gently steaming the green coffee to open its cellular structure. The beans are then washed with naturally derived ethyl acetate – a compound found in many fruits and produced commercially through the fermentation of sugarcane. This selectively removes caffeine while preserving much of the coffee’s original flavour and structure.

Once the desired caffeine level is reached, the coffee is steamed again to remove any remaining ethyl acetate before being dried back to its original moisture content.

For decades, decaf processing was associated with harsh chemical methods and flat, lifeless flavour. But newer approaches like sugarcane decaffeination have changed expectations dramatically. By using a gentler process closer to origin, producers can retain more sweetness, balance, and clarity in the final cup.

For Unwind, that matters. The goal was never simply to remove caffeine – it was to preserve everything people love about drinking great coffee.

The Same Coffee Behind Every Format

Whether you choose whole beans, instant sachets, or drip bags, the coffee itself remains the same.

Across espresso, instant, and filter, Unwind was designed to feel approachable, comforting, and easy to return to – a coffee built around chocolate sweetness, soft caramel, and bright citrus lift.

These new formats simply make that experience more flexible. A café-quality cup at your desk. A proper filter coffee in a hotel room. A late-night coffee that doesn’t ask you to compromise on flavour or routine.

Because decaf should fit into people’s lives just as easily as any other coffee.

How to Brew

Unwind Instant

Brew as a short, concentrated cup, then top with water or milk, hot or cold.

Unwind Drip Bags

Tear open, place the hangers over your cup, and pour hot water slowly in three pours of 60ml (88–94°C), allowing the water to drain between pours.

Unwind Instant (7 sachets, 17.5g) and Unwind Drip Bags (5 bags, 50g) are available now. Both are naturally decaffeinated in Colombia using mountain spring water and sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate, with tasting notes of chocolate, caramel, and citrus peel.
