A Blend Inspired by the World Barista Championship
Raspberry Candy is inspired by ONA Coffee founder Saša Šestić’s winning routine at the 2015 World Barista Championship (WBC). Working with producer Camilo Merizalde at Finca Las Nubes in Colombia, Saša and Camilo pioneered the use of Carbonic Maceration (CM) processing in coffee—a technique adapted from winemaking. This innovation unlocked bright, juicy raspberry and red fruit flavours that retained their clarity even in milk-based drinks.
While today’s Raspberry Candy does not contain the exact coffee used on the WBC stage, the blend was developed to honour and recreate that unforgettable flavour profile: fruit-forward, sweet, and balanced.
