Fazenda do Engenho is one of the most respected farms in the Carmo de Minas micro-region, an area with a century-long coffee heritage at the heart of Brazil's Mantiqueira de Minas. Coffee cultivation began on the property in the 1930s, and Don José Ronaldo has dedicated his tenure to refining quality across every stage of production – managing small, distinct lots with a focus on terroir expression over volume. Project Origin sources from the farm through their longstanding relationship with Carmo Coffee, the exporting partner based in the same region. Lot 10 represents Ronaldo's continuing evolution towards clarity-focused washed processing, showcasing the inherent sweetness and complexity this exceptional Mantiqueira terroir is capable of expressing.
