Bad Bunny has returned to the roastery — and he’s up to no good again.
Sneaking into batches and secretly adding Liberica, a rare and bold coffee species, his latest experiment somehow turned into something delicious: chocolate Easter egg sweetness, caramel richness, and a subtle hint of spice.
A little chaos. A little curiosity. And a blend we didn’t see coming.
COFFEE PROFILE
Six years ago, a bunny appeared uninvited at the ONA roastery. No one knew where he came from, but he clearly loved coffee. He hopped excitedly between machines, pulled shots of espresso, danced around the roasting floor, and somehow managed to create a blend along the way. That blend became Easter Egg.
Most people thought it was a one-time moment. It wasn’t.
Behind the scenes, Bad Bunny kept sneaking back into the roastery, watching the roasting, studying the blends, and waiting for the right moment to “improve” things. Lately, he’s developed a fascination with something most people rarely add to blends: Liberica.
Liberica is a different coffee species from the more common Arabica, known for its larger beans, bold character, and distinctive sweetness. It’s rarely used in blends, but Bad Bunny is convinced it makes coffee more interesting.
So when he sees the opportunity, he slips in and tosses a little Liberica into the batches. Most of the time it causes chaos.
But every now and then… it works.
This year’s Bad Bunny Blend is the result of one of those experiments: rich chocolate Easter egg sweetness, caramel, a hint of spice, and just a touch of mischief.
We’re still not sure he should be allowed in the roastery.
But we have to admit… sometimes his ideas are pretty good.
