Tributos del Ota: Tarrazú
Nestled in the Santa María de Dota Valley, Tarrazú, Tributos del Ota is located 64 km southeast of San José, Costa Rica. The 36-hectare farm sits at elevations between 1,875 and 2,050 meters, producing a variety of coffees including Panamanian Geisha, Millennium, Red Bourbon, SL28, and Villa Sarchi. The valley’s stable weather and high altitude provide the ideal environment for sweet, balanced coffee with vibrant acidity and complex flavours.
Las Margaritas 26: Santa María de Dota
Despite the region’s unpredictable climate, Emmanuel Solis took a chance on land once considered too cold for coffee. Today, Las Margaritas 26 is renowned for its exceptional Geisha, Villalobos, Bourbon, and SL28. Committed to sustainability, Emmanuel promotes biodiversity, avoiding pesticides, and grows various berries and flowers. With its own milling station, the farm ensures top-quality processing, reflecting the excellence and beauty of Santa María de Dota.
Corazón de Jesús: Chirripo, Brunca
The Brunca region in southern Costa Rica, spanning Coto Brus, Buenos Aires, and Pérez Zeledón, has been growing coffee since the late 19th century. With elevations from 800 to 1,700 meters, the area’s diverse microclimates foster complex, flavourful coffee. The Coto Brus valley, with its higher altitude and humid climate, is especially known for producing distinctive coffees that appeal to specialty buyers.
