The name ‘Yirgacheffe’ is renowned in the coffee world as the source of incredible coffees. The coffee from this region is often cited as being one of the first true ‘specialty’ experiences people have, and it’s name has become synonymous with deliciousness. This lot is comprised of peaberries of heirloom varietals, which are coffee seeds that have developed into a small, pea-like shape rather than a more elongated, oval shape.
This washed peaberry has a wide variety of flavour notes, ranging from green melon and pear to a white peach and lemongrass finish.
