The Castillo coffee variety can be controversial; on the one hand, it’s rust-resistant, hardy and has the potential to create a great cup of coffee. On the other, some coffee professionals are wary of the fact that its parents include Robusta-Arabica hybrids. We love to celebrate fine examples of any variety of coffee regardless of its genetics or ancestry, and our Head Roaster, Danny Wilson selected three exceptional Castillo lots that caught our attention in order to create this blend.
This blend of Colombian Castillo lots is packed full of fruit. On the first sip, you’ll notice notes of orange and mixed berries – as the brew cools down, these fruit notes are accompanied by a praline-like sweetness.
