The Albir family has been in the coffee business for four generations. Due to the civil war, Martha Albir decided to fly away from Nicaragua to settle in Germany. However, in 2013 her parents gifted her and her sister a coffee farm in the Dipilto region and she relocated back to her home country. Finca Bethania is currently validating varieties more resistant to diseases. They are improving techniques to increase the production of the old varieties that already exist at the farm. All these changes are under the supervision of an agronomist who has been hired by the family. The 2020 Red Cataui microlot is a beautifully processed, classic washed coffee. It boasts bright acidity, soft gentle fruit and is overall a clean cup on the palate.
This classic, washed processed coffee is refreshing and bright, with tasting notes ranging from green apple and lime, to pear and clean white peach. This is a perfect fresh springtime filter to be enjoyed in the warmer weather!
