Wilmer Medina grows this washed parainema on the slopes of his farm, Finca Cardamomo, in the El Paraiso region of Honduras. Located in the south of Honduras along the border of Nicaragua, this region is known for its high quality Parainema, which is a hybrid Sarchimor hybrid that is resistant to ‘la roya’, or leaf rust disease.
This washed parainema varietal is characterised by a a plum quality, accompanied by a blood orange citrus and a violet-like floral note.
Coffee beans are judged on a 100-point scoring system that assesses body, balance, uniformity, sweetness, clarity and acidity. Coffee scoring 80+ points is considered specialty coffee.
