Fernando Contreras grows this natural processed lempira in the mountains of Marcala in Honduras. The Contreras family has owned ‘Entre Caminos’ (between journeys) for three generations, although Fernando is the first generation to cultivate coffee on the farm. He takes environmentalism very seriously, purposely planting a variety of local flora in order to encourage biodiversity and support the local wildlife.

This natural processed lempira varietal reminds us of a rich red wine, with notes of red berries and chocolate finish similar to cacao nib.
