Producer Juan Jiminez Peña has been growing coffee for more than 40 years. As a young man he made money planting Caturra on his parents’ farm, but after buying his own farm his trees were soon attacked by leaf rust. He then began planting more resistant varietals such as pink bourbon, which has so far been resistant to disease and consistently scores well.
Notes of green apple and nectarine are accompanied by lime-like acidity in this washed pink bourbon varietal from Huila, Colombia.
This coffee is part of Project Origin's 'CM Selection' series of carbonic maceration-processed coffees.
