The 2019 harvest was the first opportunity for Heber Ayestas to sell his coffee since planting his trees a few years ago, and we’re expecting big things from this producer in the years to come. Heber also grows Caturra and Maracaturra varietals on the farm. For this anaerobic natural lot, the cherries are selectively picked and sorted before undertaking an extended fermentation in an oxygen-reduced environment in order to highlight the terroir and natural characteristics of this lempira varietal.

This anaerobic-processed lempira varietal has a distinct hibiscus aroma and flavour, accompanied by sweet fruit notes of strawberry and pomegranate as it cools.
