Days after receiving the Overall Championship at the Golden Bean Roasting Championships, coffee from ONA Coffee has received another outstanding award – 2nd in the ‘Best Espresso’ category at the TISCA championships.
The Taiwan International Specialty Coffee Association (TISCA) competition is held annually, with competitors allowed to enter the espresso category on an invite-only basis.
As a result of the win at the Golden Bean competition, ONA Coffee was invited to represent Australia at the TISCA competition , which was held during mid-November.
This is the second time ONA Coffee has participated in the TISCA competitions, having been invited in 2015 and claiming the trophies for Best Espresso and Best Roast.
ONA Coffee Head Roaster, Sam Corra was delighted with the award.
“It was an honour to be invited to submit coffee to the competition,” he said.
“To win second place amongst all these other world-class coffee professionals is very humbling.”
The award comes at the end of what has been a very successful year for ONA, with great results in several coffee competitions around the globe.
“It’s a great way to end a really great year for us,” said Corra.
“We’re really looking forward to the coming year, with some fresh faces in the team and new challenges ahead.”

1st place – Taiwan (ORSIR)
2nd place – Australia (ONA Coffee)
